The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association said this in a statement on August 14 on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The statement said:

August 15 marks the 69th anniversary when Kim Il Sung achieved the historic cause of Korea's liberation.

Korea's liberation was a historic event which provided a new landmark for carving out the destiny of the Korean nation and brought about a decisive turn in carrying out the human cause of independence.

Kim Il Sung pioneered the new era of the national liberation struggle in colony and wisely led the struggle for the victory of the anti-imperialist cause of independence.
