S. Korean Authorities Urged to Institute Special Law
Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- At least 30 000 people from all walks of life in south Korea including Seoul, Taejon, Taegu and Inchon held an all-people rally for probing the truth about the ferry Sewol disaster and instituting a special law at the plaza of the Seoul City Office on August 15, according to Thongil News, an internet paper of south Korea.

Speeches were made at the rally.

The vice-chairman of the Measure Committee of the Families of Victims, Missing Persons and Survivors of the Ferry Sewol Sinking Accident accused the chief executive of talking about keeping alive economy, far from probing the truth about the disaster. We will continue the struggle till a special law on probing the truth about the disaster is instituted, the vice-chairman noted.

The co-chairman of the All-People Measure Council for Sewol Disaster said that the "government" should certainly institute a special law with the rights to investigate and indict those responsible for the disaster.
