DPRK's Important Days Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) -- Events were held in different countries on August 3 and 9 on the occasions of the 69th anniversary of Korea's liberation and the Day of Songun. They included a meeting in Switzerland and a DPRK book and photo exhibition in Mexico.

Displayed at the venue of the exhibition were photos of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing Songun Korea.

Present there were figures from various circles and masses in the relevant countries.

The chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee in a speech praised the President who liberated Korea from the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists as hero and father of the nation and peerless great man who performed the immortal exploits for the cause of global independence.

He said Kim Jong Il resolutely frustrated the U.S. imperialists' moves to provoke a new war, firmly defended the peace on the Korean peninsula and turned the DPRK into an invincible political, ideological and military power.

The chairman of the Nezauacoyotl City Cultural and Sports Committee of Mexico said:

I am pleased that the DPRK book and photo exhibition is being held in the city on the occasion of the Day of Songun.

Through the exhibition visitors will become to know well about the undying feats performed by the President and Kim Jong Il and the reality of the DPRK.

I hope that the Korean people will as ever register greater successes in the struggle to build a thriving socialist nation and reunify the country under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting held in Switzerland.

A lecture was given at a construction site of Conakry, Guinea and a film show took place at a factory of Guinea on August 7 and 8 on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
