Memorial Service for Korean Victims to Forcible Drafting Held in Japan
Tokyo, August 6 (KNS-KCNA) -- A memorial service for Korean victims to forcible drafting by Japanese imperialism took place in Kooriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan on August 2 under the co-sponsorship of the Fukushima Prefectural Headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and the Fukushima Prefectural People's Council for Japan-Korea Friendship.

Present there were Chongryon officials and compatriots in Fukushima Prefecture and members of Japanese organizations.

Speakers said: We should never forget the atrocities committed by the Japanese imperialists in the past.

They condemned the Japanese imperialists for turning Korea into a colony, taking away many Koreans to Japan, forcing harsh labor on them and killing them.

They said that they would do their best to bring to light the criminal acts of the Japanese imperialists in order to give vent to the grudge of those who met a grievous death in an alien land.
