Rodong Sinmun on Murder and Assault in S. Korean Puppet Army
Pyongyang, August 5 (KCNA) -- Private First Class Yun belonging to the 28th Division of the south Korean puppet army had been subject to repeated beating, violence, insult, etc. by his superiors and died due to group violence on April 7.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in an article the recent murder of Yun was not an accidental case but an inevitable crime which occurred in the puppet army as it keeps to the road of treachery and confrontation with fellow countrymen in the north as a colonial mercenary army of the U.S.

The article goes on: The puppet army whose right to command operations is in the hands of the U.S. serves the American master, not the south Koreans. It has played the role of servants of the U.S. in its moves to provoke a war against the DPRK for decades.

After being conscripted into the puppet army, lots of young people are being brutalized to commit man killings and plunder, steeped in extreme misanthropy and hostility toward the fellow countrymen in the north.

The puppet army is no more than a rabble kept afloat by mutual mistrust, physical torture and club discipline. It is common practice in the army that shooting each other to death, group violence and other extreme human rights abuses are taking place.

Shooting sprees, suicides and murders that are unabated in the army go to prove that extreme war-phobia, assaults and violence have become endemic among the puppet army soldiers.

No one can vouch that such a shocking case as that of Yun will not occur in south Korea again.

Yun's murder case is now touching off deep mistrust and repugnance towards the puppet army among south Koreans from all walks of life, once again throwing the conservative authorities into a quagmire.

It is unbearable shame on the Korean nation that such brutal and corrupt army exists in south Korea. Therefore, it deserves unanimous curse and denunciation by the south Koreans.
