Foreign Papers Observe Day of War Victory of Korean People
| Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Foreign papers carried special write-ups on July 25 and 26 on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
The L'Avenir of the DR Congo carried an article titled "Generalissimo Kim Il Sung" illustrated with a photo of him acknowledging the cheering masses.
The article said that President Kim Il Sung defeated the U.S. imperialists, who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world, in the Korean war, and demonstrated before the world the dignity of the DPRK.

The U.S. imperialists' military and technical superiorities proved vain by the flexible strategies, tactics and war methods employed by Kim Il Sung who always took the initiative in the war.
The aggressors could not but kneel down before the Korean people.

The New Delhi Times carried an article titled "Ignominious defeat of the U.S."
