The statement said:

July 27 is the day of the second liberation of the Korean people and the day of victory of not only the Korean people but followers of the Juche idea and the Songun idea and anti-imperialist fighters.

The heroic Korean People's Army won a shining victory by decisively shattering the numerical and technical superiority of the U.S. imperialists and their 15 satellite countries' troops in the Korean War under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

The U.S. imperialists committed horrible genocide through a barbaric germ and chemical warfare during the war but they bent their knees before the Korean people who rose up as one under the wise leadership of the President.

In the war the Korean people shattered the U.S. imperialists' myth of "invincibility" to smithereens, put strong spurs to all the national liberation struggles in colonies and the revolutionary movement in the world and brought about the beginning of a downhill turn for the U.S. imperialists.

We are convinced that the Korean people led by Marshal Kim Jong Un will firmly defend the socialist homeland and achieve a final victory by carrying forward the spirit of July 27 when they defeated the U.S. imperialists.
