At the rally speakers recalled that the bereaved families of the victims of the ferry Sewol disaster have been on a hunger strike at the Kwanghwamun plaza for the last ten odd consecutive days in demand of the proper probe into the case and people from all walks of life are joining in them after forming a people's hunger strikers group.

The bereaved families are staging protest actions on roads despite sweltering weather in demand of the institution of a special law for thoroughly probing the truth about the case but the "National Assembly" and the "government" are still lending a deaf ear to their demand, they charged.

They declared they would continue actions till the special law is instituted.

They called upon all people to turn out in the actions against the corrupt "government".
