Leader's Loving Care Inspires Army and People to Win Victory in War
Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- During the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953) President Kim Il Sung had shown deep trust and warm love for the servicepersons and civilians.

He always found himself among the army and people to share bitters and sweets with them and encourage them to work heroic feats in the war.

He paid deep attention to the health and living conditions of servicepersons and civilians, making constant inspection tours of the battle areas and home front. He even took warm care of war orphans at the Supreme Command.

In the wartime he took steps to run frontline rest homes for soldiers and enforce the Universal Free Medical Care System and other popular policies.

Such loving care was also shown for the south Korean people. In the days of the Korean People's Army's all-out attack on the enemy forces in the city of Seoul, he set the morning for starting the attack for security of the citizens and their wealth. In the period of temporary strategic retreat on the part of the KPA, he ordered to float firewood down a river for Seoul citizens.

Encouraged by Kim Il Sung's loving care and trust, the army and people unanimously turned out in the battles against the aggressors, fully displaying mass heroism rallied closer around their leader.

After all, the close ties between the supreme commander and the army and people led the young Democratic People's Republic of Korea to the victory in the war against the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces.
