Historic Site Associated with Fatherland Liberation War Draws Endless Stream of Visitors
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Service personnel of the Korean People's Army, people from all walks of life, school youth and children, foreigners and overseas Koreans are visiting the Historic Site Associated with the Fatherland Liberation War on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the war. The site is associated with the feats for war victory performed by President Kim Il Sung.

The site is a place where the President led the army and people of the DPRK to the final victory of the war after setting up the Supreme Command there from January, Juche 40 (1951) to July, Juche 42 (1953).

There are in the site such historical buildings as the commanding post and operation room of the Supreme Command, the place where he had a picture taken after being awarded the title of Marshal of the DPRK, the place where he had a talk with heroes of the Republic and model soldiers, etc.

This year it has been visited by those of Kim Il Sung Military University, Kim Il Sung University, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex and many other units.

The visitors saw round historic data and relics in which the President indicated the orientation and ways for postwar rehabilitation and construction.

They were briefed on the fact that he planned to build a modern poultry industry and showed benevolence for the fighters of Height 1211.

They also heard the explanation about the personality of leader Kim Jong Il as a great man who cultivated the outstanding military idea, war methods, gifted stratagem and commanding art of the President while staying near the operation table of the Supreme Command.

Foreigners and overseas Koreans admired the feats of the President who wrought a military miracle to shine in the human history of war by defeating the U.S. imperialists who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world.
