Kim Il Sung's Feats for Victory in Fatherland Liberation War (2)
Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- During the Fatherland Liberation War (June 1950-July 1953), President Kim Il Sung foiled the U.S. forces' "General Christmas Offensive" with his unusual acumen.

It was one day in mid-November Juche 39 (1950) that Kim Il Sung told the commander of a combined unit of the Korean People's Army about an operational plan of the Supreme Command.

He confidently informed of the direction of main attack to be taken by the U.S. forces as well as their aim of attack. And he chose the western front as a direction of the KPA's main strike, telling about the counter-attack operational plan he had already mapped out. The commander was amazed at his intention because the western front was amassed with the main forces of the enemy.

Then he pointed to the date for launching a new operation, which was coincided with the start of the enemy's "General Christmas Offensive".

After all, the "general offensive" led to the enemy's all-out retreat.
