KCNA Commentary Dismisses U.S. Fiction about DPRK's Proliferation of WMDs
Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- The assistant secretary for International Security and Nonproliferation of the U.S. Department of State recently expressed concern over the possible proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) by north Korea. This is nothing but a cock-and-bull story.

The U.S. has neither face nor justification to talk about someone's "proliferation of weapons."

Last year it staged nuclear war exercises in south Korea, pushing the situation on the Korean peninsula to the worst phase and, availing itself of this opportunity, signed contracts on selling weapons worth a colossal amount of dollars to the south Korean puppet forces.

This year it is also mulling secretly introducing THAAD worth astronomical figures of funds to the puppet forces. It rammed through Congress a bill on the export of warships to Taiwan.

The U.S. tops the world's list of arms sale.

This proves that the U.S. is the world's biggest proliferator of WMDs and arms dealer.

The aim sought by it through arms sale is to rake up profits and spark off arms race and escalate regional disputes and thus create political, military and economic phases favorable for world domination.

It is for this reason that it has been keen on selling WMDs and has turned blind eyes to the arms sale by its allies who will play the role of a shock brigade in realizing its ambition for domination.

The U.S. arms sale has pushed the situation in Northeast Asia including the Korean peninsula to the brink of a nuclear war.

Innocent people are shedding blood at the hands of terrorists armed with American weapons in many regions of the world including Iraq and Palestine.

It is a height of impudence and double standards for the U.S. to find fault with those countries not obedient to it and spread the story about "proliferation of WMD" although it is committing indelible crimes against the world and humankind through the criminal arms sale.

By ratcheting the tension through spread of such fictions as "proliferation of WMDs by north Korea", the U.S. seeks to cover up its wild ambition for dominating Asia-Pacific.

But it is seriously mistaken.

The world is now jeering and censuring the U.S. as it behaves like a guilty party filing a suit first while spreading the above-said story.

The U.S. had better repent of its crimes against humanity before finding fault with others.

It should behave with discretion, bearing in mind that its attempts to tarnish the image of the dignified DPRK through the shameless application of double standards will only bring into bolder relief the absurdity of its despicable policy of hostility toward the DPRK.
