S. Korean Conservative Slammed for Barring Special Law on Ferry Sewol Disaster from Being Instituted
Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- The Measure Committee of the Families of Victims, Missing Persons and Survivors of the Ferry Sewol Sinking Accident of south Korea denounced a conservative for barring a special law on the ferry sinking accident from being instituted, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Minbo on Monday.

The organization recalled that Sim Jae Chol, a lawmaker from the "Saenuri Party", posted on his website an article opposing the institution of a special law on the ferry sinking accident on July 20.

This means his denial of the "government's" responsibility for the accident, it said, and went on:

The "government" and the "National Assembly" said they would institute a special law on the ferry sinking accident, but they are deceiving the people.

The organization expressed the indignation at the fact that they are delaying the adoption of a special law, turning their faces away from the demand of the bereaved families for probing the truth about the ferry sinking accident.

It demanded Sim Jae Chol immediately resign as he is turning his face away from the demand of the people as chairman of the ad hoc committee for state investigation of the "National Assembly" for probing the truth behind the ferry sinking accident.
