S. Korean Organization Protests Opening Market to Foreign Cereals
Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- The South Kyongsang Provincial Federation of the south Korean Federation of Peasants Associations on July 18 staged a protest against the authorities' act of opening the market to foreign cereals in Tochon-myon, Changnyong County, South Kyongsang Province.

The organization at a press conference disclosed that the "government's" hasty declaration of the decision on opening the market was to calm down the public anger in advance.

It gave vent to its anger, terming the opening of the market to foreign cereals a food disaster following the ferry Sewol tragedy.

It said it would turn out in actions against the opening of the market that threatens the existence of life, stressing it would go into a long-term tent strike in front of the South Kyongsang Provincial Office from July 21.

After the press conference, members of the organization ploughed the field as part of its anti-"government" actions.
