Kim Il Sung Remembered in Different Countries
Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries from July 4 to 8 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. They included meetings, seminars, remembrance meetings, round-table talks, reading sessions, book and photo exhibitions and film shows in Cambodia, Myanmar, Slovakia, Germany, Egypt and Equatorial Guinea.

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos documenting the exploits of Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing Songun Korea.

Films shown included Korean film "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation".

The general director for administrative affairs of the Funcinpec Party of Cambodia praised Kim Il Sung for leading the two revolutionary wars to victory after embarking upon the road of revolution in his teens and turning the DPRK into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence and making a great contribution to developing the friendly relations between the two parties and countries.

The acting secretary of the Yangon Regional Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar said that the distinguished feats performed by Kim Il Sung for the prosperity of the country and its people's happiness and the cause of global independence will always be remembered by the Korean people and progressive mankind.

The chairman of the Slovakia-Korea Friendship Association stressed that there was no such man as Kim Il Sung in the world.

The chairman of the Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany noted that thanks to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's firm independent stand socialism in the DPRK could win victories, remaining unfazed even after the collapse of socialism in the East European countries.
