Delegation of Korean Youth and Students in Japan Meets Former Unconverted Long-term Prisoner
Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- A delegation of Korean youth and students in Japan led by Choe Il Gyong, department director of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan, on Friday met with Ri Kong Sun, an indomitable pro-reunification patriotic fighter who is also a former unconverted long-term prisoner.

Ri Kong Sun said that he was unfazed with heavy penalties and appeasement for decades after being arrested by the enemy while struggling for the reunification of the country.

He said that he could defend his revolutionary faith as he cherished the deep trust in the party and the leader and the firm conviction of victory.

He expressed expectation that the members of the delegation would give a steady continuity to the patriotic lineage of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), remaining loyal to the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Kim Ji Se and Un Song Hwi, members of the delegation, said that they were greatly encouraged by the mental world of the pro-reunification patriotic fighters who waged a staunch struggle with the absolute trust in the leader and the conviction of certain victory.

They expressed their determination to prepare themselves to be reliable pillars who will contribute to building a thriving socialist nation and developing Chongryon with the steadfast conviction and will that we are sure to win as led by Kim Jong Un.

An art performance was given by former unconverted long-term prisoners and their family members and members of the delegation.
