Serious River Pollution under Fire in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- The River Yongsan of south Korea is seriously polluted owing to the project of the four large rivers pushed forward under the Lee Myung Bak regime, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Minbo on July 13.

The paper said:

Various sections of the river are blocked by dams, rapidly worsening the quality of water. Water in some sections is so seriously contaminated that people may easily find the water dirty. Consequently, fishes and a lot of other living organisms die en masse.

People living near the river said that they did not see such phenomena before the project of the four large rivers.

Nevertheless, the south Korean authorities are resorting to all sorts of gimmicks to calm down the protest, claiming that the water is drinkable if it is purified and that no poisonous substance was detected in the water.

In this regard, south Korean people from all walks of life chide the authorities, querying them can they drink the water as they claim there is no problem in the quality of water though grass is lush under water.
