Struggle Waged in Japan for Settlement of Issue of Aiding Korean Schools
Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- The DPRK-Japan Students Friendship Network and the Association of Graduates of Korean High Schools launched a Friday action calling for the application of the tuition-free program for senior high schools outside the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan on July 4.

Present there were students of the Korean University, Korean high schools, Korean compatriots, Japanese students and citizens, more than 1 000 in all.

The representatives of the DPRK-Japan Students Friendship Network, the Association of Graduates of Korean High Schools, the Society of Principals of Korean High Schools and the Association of Societies of Mothers of Korean Schools across Japan thrust a letter of request demanding the immediate application of the tuition-free program to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

It was followed by a meeting for reviewing the struggle for the settlement of the aid for Korean schools.

Students of Kyushu senior high school staged a signature campaign at railway stations demanding the immediate application of the tuition-free program for Korean schools on June 28.

They vowed to wage more active struggle for the settlement of the issue of aiding Korean schools and for filing a complaint against the government over the claim for damages.
