"Moran Hill", Folk Song Popular among DPRK People
Pyongyang, July 12 (KCNA) -- Folk song "Moran Hill" is one of the DPRK people's favorite songs.

It was adapted from "Changbu Ballad", a folk song of central Korea, in Juche 46 (1957) in keeping with the sentiments of the people in the present times.

"Moran Hill" reflects the Korean people's feelings toward scenic Pyongyang as well as their pride of leading a happy life in the best socialist system.

The song also tells about the looks of the DPRK people speeding up socialist construction after defeating the U.S. imperialists. Its melodies vividly show the passionate sentiments of the Korean people full of joy and optimism.

The folk song is still now popular among the local people for its national feature and modernity.
