Frantic Suppression of South Headquarters of Pomminryon under Fire
Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) --The south Korean authorities are now getting more frantic in their suppression of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon), according to Thongil News, an internet paper of south Korea.

Over 20 policemen of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on July 2 searched Ra Chang Sun, honorary chairperson of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon, on a road side in broad daylight.

They were busy with a search operation against Ra for several hours, allegedly seizing evidence.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation into Ri Song Gun, advisor to the South Headquarters of Pomminryon, on June 10 and 18, pressurizing him to declare his conversion.

Meanwhile, the public security authorities searched the house of Kim Yong Sung, advisor to the organization, and conducted a series of investigation into him from long ago for the mere reason that he sent Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon, to Pyongyang. They are busy with the action to indict Kim.

The south Korean authorities are still keeping Ri Kyu Jae, chairman of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon, Ro Su Hui and Ri Kyong Won, its former secretary general, behind bars. These days they are staging trials of at least 10 leading members of the organization including acting Chairman Kim Ul Su.

As regards the above-said suppression, a personage concerned of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon denounced the authorities for indiscriminately cracking down upon figures of Pomminryon, regardless of their ages, health condition and sex. Executive members of the organization were subject to suppression in the past but now the spearhead of crackdown is directed to elders this year, he deplored.

He accused the investigation authorities of keeping the core members of not only the organizations for the reunification movement but civic and public organizations under constant watch by a cunning method.
