Kim Il Sung Remembered in Foreign Countries
Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries to commemorate the 20th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

They included remembrance meetings, photo and book exhibitions and film shows in Myanmar, Benin, Nigeria and Slovakia from June 29 to July 3.

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos documenting the exploits of the President, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu and photos and books introducing Songun Korea.

Films shown included Korean films "The Arch of Triumph" and "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation".

A vice-director of an education institute in Yangon, Myanmar said that the distinguished exploits performed by the President for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence would be kept forever in the hearts of not only the Korean people but progressive humankind.

The general director of a publishing house of Myanmar noted that the President made sure that the demand and desire of the people were realized, always finding himself among them, and pushed forward the revolution and construction by arousing their patriotic enthusiasm.

The chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and the chief of the Benin Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism stressed that the DPRK demonstrating its dignity as an invincible power and socialism centered on the popular masses would be unthinkable without the President.

A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event held in Benin.
