State Funeral of Jon Pyong Ho Held
Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- A state funeral was held here on Thursday for Jon Pyong Ho, general of the Korean People's Army and honorary curator of the KPA Museum of Weapons and Equipment.

Present there were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So and other members of the state funeral committee, officials of the party and armed forces organs, the Cabinet, the field of national defence industry and the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the bereaved families of the deceased.

Members of the funeral committee and the bereaved families observed a moment's silence in memory of the deceased.

The coffin was carried amid the playing of a dirge.

The hearse left for the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery.

Along the route citizens expressed deep condolences over the loss of Jon Pyong Ho who devoted himself to the victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche, the revolutionary cause of Songun till the last moments of his life, possessed of intense loyalty to the party and the leader.

A ceremony of bidding the last farewell to the deceased took place at the cemetery.

KPA General Hyon Yong Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, made a eulogy

He said: The death of such a veteran revolutionary as Jon Pyong Ho is a big loss to the WPK and the Korean people because he passed away at a time when the dignity and might of the DPRK are being fully demonstrated and a bright prospect for the Korean revolution is unfolding thanks to the Songun leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Though Jon Pyong Ho passed away, the feats he performed for the party and the revolution, the country and its people will last forever.

The remains of the deceased were buried in the grave.

The bereaved families of the deceased and members of the state funeral committee spread earth on the grave.

Placed before the grave was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Un.

Also laid were wreaths from the C.C., the WPK, the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, the DPRK Cabinet, the General Political Bureau of the KPA, the General Staff of the KPA, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces and various other institutions.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the deceased.
