History of DPRK Characterized by Independence, Songun and Socialism
Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- The DPRK has invariably advanced along the road of independence, Songun (military-first) and socialism, achieving only victories one after another.

After President Kim Il Sung passed away on July 8, Juche 83 (1994), the U.S. and its followers asserted that the socialism would have collapsed in the DPRK as seen in the former eastern European countries.

During the Arduous March, the forced march when the Korean people suffered from innumerable adversities, the U.S. was desperately keen on its moves to economically isolate and stifle the DPRK, floating the fictitious theory on "collapse of socialism in the DPRK within two or three years".

In the 21st century, too, the U.S. has resorted to every possible means for preventing the DPRK from having trade relations with other countries, accusing it of posing threat to the regional stability, rejecting cooperation in "anti-terrorism" war and not relying on market economy.

The U.S. has also stopped all sorts of financial and monetary business with the DPRK, while freezing all its assets in America.

The U.S. even went the length of listing the DPRK as an "axis of evil" and a target of its preemptive nuclear attack and has staged provocative joint military drills against it together with the south Korean warmongers one after another to aggravate the situation in the Korean Peninsula.

Moreover, it has instigated its followers to take harsher sanction against the DPRK after taking issue over its satellite launch for peaceful purpose.

But the Korean people have defeated all hostile acts of the U.S. and reliably defended the sovereignty of the country with powerful nuclear deterrent under the uplifted banner of independence, Songun politics and socialism, upholding leader Kim Jong Il.

Now, the cause of independence, Songun and socialism has been creditably carried forward by Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Only rosy future is in store for the Korean people as they are led by Kim Jong Un.
