Chongsu Revolutionary Site Visited by Endless Stream of People, Foreigners
Sakju, July 9 (KCNA) -- The Chongsu Revolutionary Site is visited by an endless stream of people on the occasion of the 120th birth anniversary of indomitable revolutionary fighter Kim Hyong Jik.

The site in Sakju County, North Phyongan Province is the significant place which Kim Hyong Jik, an outstanding leader of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea, visited several times and conducted energetic activities from summer of Juche 1 (1912) to autumn of Juche 10 (1921).

He clarified the idea of proletarian revolution and instilled the spirit of the anti-Japanese struggle into the people, youth and students in Chongsudong with his noble intention of "Jiwon" (aim high).

Standing at the site is the statue of Kim Hyong Jik. There are venues of the Chongsudong meeting and anti-Japanese lecture, Ilsin School where he made its pupils nurture a great intention to liberate the country and Kyolsung Hill which he named and where he organized even a mountaineering competition.

According to the data available, more than 1,217,000 service personnel, people from all walks of life, school youth and children and foreigners have visited the site over the past decade.
