Floral Baskets Laid before Statues of Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Service personnel and people visited statues of President Kim Il Sung in different parts of the country on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his demise.

Service personnel, people from all walks of life and school youth and children visited the statues of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill and paid tribute to them in deep reverence.

Seen standing before the statues was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Placed before the statues were floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and institutions at all levels, industrial establishments, farms and schools in Pyongyang as well as bouquets and flowers.

A floral basket in the name of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front was also laid before the statues.

The visitors made bows towards the statues of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu.

An endless stream of people from all walks of life with the strong yearnings for the peerless great men flowed to the statues of the President and Kim Jong Il and portraits of the smiling leaders in different parts of Pyongyang including Kim Il Sung Military University, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and the Mansudae Art Studio.

Floral baskets were laid before the statues and portraits in the name of units of the Korean People's Army, organs, industrial establishments, farms and schools as well as bouquets and flowers.

Service personnel, working people and school youth and children in various parts of the country visited the statues and portraits in their residential areas and paid tribute to them.
