Members of Teachers Union Release 2nd Declaration on Situation
Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- Members of the Teachers Union of south Korea (Jongyojo) held a press conference in Seoul on July 2 and released the second declaration on the situation signed by more than 12,000, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Minbo.

The declaration said they could not but note with resentment when they knew that greedy capitalists, corrupt bureaucrats and irresponsible and incapable "government" were behind the truth of the ferry Sewol disaster. It recalled that at least 15,000 teachers under Jongyojo released a declaration on the situation in demand of the proper settlement of the disaster in May. It went on:

However, the state investigation for probing the truth behind the case dragged on, making no progress. The demand of the bereaved families and people for instituting a special law was disregarded.

We cannot but question if the chief executive has even an iota of the will to thoroughly probe the truth, punish the chief culprit and take measures to prevent recurrence of disasters.

After the disaster everything contrary to expectations is taking place. The "government" authorities issued warrants of arrest for workers struggling for their vital rights at random while putting spurs to denationalization of medical service. They outlawed Jongyojo in disregard of the recommendations of international bodies.

Teachers of Jongyojo will turn out in actions, the declaration added.
