S. Korean Authorities Slammed for Tightening Military Nexus with Japan
Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- The Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society in south Korea released a commentary on July 2 denouncing the south Korean authorities for tightening the military nexus with Japan.

The commentary accused the Japanese government of deciding on July 1 to change the interpretation of the Constitution to allow the exercise of the "right to collective self-defense". This is an act of threatening the peace and security in Northeast Asia, it added.

If Japan's exercise of "its right to collective self-defense" is allowed, it will deepen the military contradiction among countries in Northeast Asia and facilitate arms race and the U.S. will require Japan's "Self-Defense Forces'" participation in its operations to carry out its strategy, it noted.

Nevertheless, the present regime is seeking closer military nexus with the U.S. and Japan and helping Japan in its moves to rearm itself, it charged.

The regime should not opt for stepping up the efforts to share military information with the U.S. and Japan and build a missile shield but for putting an end to the military confrontation on the Korean peninsula and achieving peace there, the commentary stressed.
