KCNA Blasts US New Combat Doctrine
Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- The U.S. announced a plan to introduce new combat doctrine AIR-SEA BATTLE to the Korean peninsula.

The keynote of the war method is to ensure the coordinated operations between the air force and the navy from the deployment of troops to battles in tactical, operational and strategic stages, according to the commander of the U.S. 7th air force on June 19.

This war method envisages a large-scale landing operation from the sea involving all troops in the three services and those serving in the space and cyber fields, not just limiting the combat sphere to the Korean peninsula but considering the whole world as a combat zone.

This is a dangerous military move indicating that the U.S. hegemonic ambition to put the peninsula under its control by force and put the Asia-Pacific region under its political and military domination with the peninsula as a springboard is being pushed forward in the phase of practical implementation.

It is the core of the U.S. hegemonic strategy to contain big powers in the Asia-Pacific region and maintain and expand its domination by relying on its military edge.

In fact, the U.S. has steadily reinforced its troops in the region.

More than half of the U.S. nuclear submarines are being deployed in the region, turning the Pacific into a theater for competition among world big powers.

The U.S. attaches great significance to implementing the new combat doctrine in order to turn the balance of forces favorable for it and expand the sphere of domination.

The application of the new doctrine to the peninsula is related to the geo-political position of the peninsula in the region.

The U.S. has massively reinforced its naval and air forces while "reorganizing" its ground forces present in south Korea.

By introducing new-type weapons and elite units, it turned south Korea into the biggest arsenal of latest weaponry in the Far East and a base for mounting a preemptive nuclear attack.

Through the introduction of the new doctrine the U.S. seeks to rationally deploy its forces present in south Korea for carrying out its strategy for dominating the Asia-Pacific region.

The plan to replace A-10 and F-16 fighters in south Korea by F-35 is part of this scenario.

The U.S. hegemonic moves to put pressure on the DPRK, contain big powers and put the Asia-Pacific region under its political and military domination through group military actions have entered a graver phase due to the introduction of the new doctrine for aggression.

The U.S. reckless moves have rendered the situation in and around the peninsula so grave that a war may break out any moment there.

The prevailing situation compels the DPRK to further bolster the war deterrence.

The DPRK is firmly protecting the basic interests of the revolution and the dignity of the country while resolutely countering the imperialists' vicious moves against it as it has built powerful capabilities for self-defense.

As the U.S. persistently works to contain the DPRK by force, not giving up its hostile policy toward it, the latter is left with no option but to channel sustained big efforts to bolstering the capabilities to defend the sovereignty of the country.
