US Talk about "Threat" from DPRK Snubbed
Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- The assistant secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs of the U.S. State Department grumbled about "nuclear and missile threats" from the DPRK and called for building U.S.-led information network involving Japan and south Korea and joint investment in the missile defense system to be deployed in south Korea during his recent meeting with riff-raffs of south Korea in Washington.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a commentary in this regard:

This is a revelation of the sinister intention to draw Japan and the south Korean puppet forces deeper into the moves for carrying out its strategy for stifling the DPRK.

It goes on:

Japan and south Korea are complaining about the waning strength of the U.S. behind the scene when watching its weak position in face of the DPRK though it behaved as if it could do anything in the world after the end of the Cold War.

What plagues the U.S. is the political contradiction and conflict between Japan and south Korea that prevent them from coming to harmony.

By bringing the contradiction between the stooges under control with rhetoric about "threat" from the DPRK, the U.S. seeks to realize the tripartite military cooperation and pursue a hostile policy toward the DPRK by dint of nexus.

In pursuing the tripartite military cooperation the U.S. seeks a sinister scenario for pressurizing its stooges to spend a lot of funds in a bid to lay with ease a springboard for containing major big powers and maintain its position as the "world's only superpower".

What the U.S. should know clearly is that it can never regain its unchallenged position now in the process of becoming weak no matter how loudly it may trumpet about the "threats" from the DPRK.

Isn't it a reality that Japan and the south Korean puppet forces are reluctant to dance to the tune of the U.S., the commentary notes.

The U.S. would be well advised to behave itself, clearly aware of where it stands at present, it warns.
