Bulgarian Organization Expresses Solidarity with Korean People
Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- The Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association released an information bulletin on June 20 to mark the month for the international solidarity with the Korean people.

The bulletin said:

After World War II, the Korean peninsula was divided into the north and the south due to foreign forces.

The history of the U.S. imperialists' military occupation of south Korea dated back to September, 1945.

The U.S. saw to it that the south Korean puppet army was organized to carry out the strategy of putting the whole Korean peninsula under its control.

The U.S. and its south Korean puppet regime started their invasion of the DPRK on June 25, 1950.

The army and people of the DPRK employed their own unique war methods, dealing telling blows to the enemy.

A lasting peace has not yet settled on the peninsula for decades since the Armistice Agreement was signed on July 27, 1953.

November, 1975 witnessed the adoption of a resolution calling for disbanding the "UN Command" in south Korea at the 30th session of the UN General Assembly.

However, the U.S. forces are working hard to make their presence in south Korea legal, going by the name of the "UN Forces".

The U.S. wages large-scale war drills in league with the south Korean war-like forces every year, thus screwing up the tensions on the Korean peninsula.

The world progressives hold colorful events in the month, the period from June 25 to July 27.

We extend solidarity to the Korean people in the struggle to successfully defend the sovereignty of the country and socialism from the challenges of every description by the U.S. imperialists and their allied forces.
