Kim Jong Il's Exploits in Party-Building Praised by Foreign Figures
Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- Events took place in foreign countries on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

They included a meeting and book and photo exhibition in Mexico, lecture and film show in Dominica, lecture in the Czech Republic and round-table talks in Nepal between June 14 and 19.

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos documenting immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and supreme leader Kim Jong Un. On display there were their works.

The participants of the film show watched Korean film "Fireworks of a thriving nation."

Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, said in his speech that Kim Jong Il was a peerless political elder who shattered the imperialist reactionary forces' moves against the DPRK and socialism and defended the global cause of socialism, holding high the banner of Songun, independence and socialism.

Ivan Rodriguez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Alternative Party of Dominica, praised Kim Jong Il for developing the WPK into Kim Il Sung's party, frustrating the imperialist allied forces' moves to stifle socialism with the invincible Songun politics and providing a springboard from which to build a thriving nation.

The acting general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party said that the DPRK is holding high the banner of socialism even under the complicated situation, adding that this would be unthinkable apart from the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), the chairman of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (United) and other speakers said that the WPK and the Korean people are fortunate to hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal general secretary of the WPK.
