23rd Congress of Korean Youth League in Japan Held
Tokyo, June 25 (KNS-KCNA) -- The 23rd Congress of the Korean Youth League in Japan (Jochong) was held at Korea University under the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on June 22.

Present there were Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Kim Cha Dol, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the league, and other deputies.

A congratulatory message sent by Marshal Kim Jong Un to the 23rd Congress of Chongryon was read out at the congress.

Congratulatory message sent by the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and different units of the homeland and those sent by the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Korean Students in Japan and the Children's Union of Tokyo Korea First Junior Secondary School were introduced.

Kim Cha Dol in a report said that in the period under review Jochong has firmly consolidated it into the ranks of loyalty and give full play to the spirit of loving the country, compatriots and future and its members have conducted positive activities as the masters of the patriotic movement.

He referred to the tasks to carry through the decision of the 23rd Congress of Chongryon.

Personages of Japanese youth organizations made speeches of solidarity and officials of Jochong organizations at all levels spoke at the congress.

Deputy Kim Yong Ju was elected chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Jochong at the congress.

Then followed a speech of Nam Sung U. He hoped that Jochong would conduct viable and positive activities to strengthen the movement of Korean youth in Japan in the glorious era of Kim Jong Un to a new heyday.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the congress.

At the end of the congress there took place the first meeting of the 23rd Central Committee of the Jochong.
