Lifting of Embargo on Entry of Mangyongbong-92 into Japanese Port Demanded
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Representatives of the Kyoto Prefectural Headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) visited the Kyoto branch of the Japan Red Cross Society on June 17 demanding the lifting of the embargo on the entry of Mangyongbong-92 into a Japanese port, according to Choson Sinbo, the organ of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee.

Many Koreans are eagerly longing for the entry of Mangyongbong-92 into a Japanese port, they said.

Compatriots visiting the homeland by plane have to bear huge financial burdens and the aged travelers, in particular, suffer pains, they noted.

Mangyongbong-92 is the most important means linking Koreans in Japan with their homeland, they said.

They requested the Kyoto branch of the Japan Red Cross Society to propose its head office to allow the ship's entry to a Japanese port in view of humanitarianism in the spirit of the DPRK-Japan inter-governmental talks held in late May.
