Korean War Caused by U.S. Ambition for Domination over Korea
Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- The Korean War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953) was a war of aggression unleashed by the U.S. to dominate the Korean Peninsula and enslave the Korean nation.

The U.S., keenly aware of the strategic importance of geo-political position of the Korean Peninsula in its scenario for invading Asia, has thrust its aggressive claws into Korea already more than 100 years ago.

In 1945 after the end of the Second World War, the U.S. landed its troops in the southern half of Korea under the guise of "liberator" on the plea of "disarming" the Imperial Japanese Army.

After reducing south Korea to its colony politically, economically and militarily dependent on it through the organization of pro-American puppet government, the U.S. pushed ahead with preparations for a war against the DPRK on a full scale.

It put spurs to strengthening the south Korean puppet army, offering to south Korea military aid worth of 1 billion U.S. dollars and shipping into it a large quantity of military hardware. It also deployed huge forces of the puppet army in the forward area along the 38th parallel, while bringing aircraft carriers and strategic bombers into the area around the Korean Peninsula.

The above-said facts can be proved through the book "American Modern History" published in the U.S., which recalls that America started the Korean war with full preparations for the first time in its war history.

Based on such preparations, the U.S. ignited a war of aggression against the DPRK on June 25, 1950.

Nevertheless, the U.S. and the south Korean conservative puppet group have been resorting to every possible means to cover up the truth behind the outbreak of the Korean war. But they can never evade the responsibility for provoking the Korean war as the truth is sure to be brought to light.
