Concert Given by National Symphony Orchestra
Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- Concert "Cantata to Comrade Kim Jong Il" was given by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Moranbong Theatre on Thursday, the 50th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju and other senior officials of the party and the state, officials of working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, those in Pyongyang and persons of meritorious services.

The concert began with piano and orchestra "Party's Flag, Always Together with You". Put on the stage were orchestras "General on a Galloping White Horse", "Our General Is the Best", "Attraction", "Moran Hill" and "A Bumper Harvest in the Chongsan Plain".

The performers represented feats Kim Jong Il performed in party building. They also impressively depicted with mixed orchestra the great national pride and self-esteem of the Korean people who are blessed with the illustrious leaders and party as they are holding the great men of Mt. Paektu in high esteem.

The concert demonstrated the steadfast faith and will of the army and people of the DPRK to dynamically advance along the road of the Juche revolution and the Songun revolution, rallied around Marshal Kim Jong Un in one mind, holding Kim Jong Il as the eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
