Action for Wage Hike Declared in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions held a press conference in Seoul on June 10 at which it declared to turn out in the action for wage hike.

It deplored that workers' wage is so paltry that they hardly eke out their livelihood though they do backbreaking labor and many of them can not receive even it.

It accused Park Geun Hye of negating on her commitment to wage hike made in the past "presidential" election.

It said that it would fight to build the society which respects the life of human beings more than money and profits, the world in which all workers are respected.

The present action is the one against inequality and wide gap between the rich and the poor which are rampant in society, it noted, calling on all workers to turn out in the action.

It said that organizations under the confederation would conduct information activities and hold meetings for wage hike every day and intensify the action in solidarity with civic and social organizations.
