S. Korean Authorities Accused of Pretending Ignorance of GIs' Crimes
Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- An editorial was posted on the south Korean internet paper Voice of People on June 12 after the lapse of 12 years since two schoolgirls were mercilessly killed by the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces.

The editorial recalled that brutes affiliated to an engineering unit of the U.S. Second Division in south Korea drove an armored car over two schoolgirls Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son who were passing by on June 13, 2002.

However, the GI criminals were declared not guilty, the editorial said, adding:

12 years have passed since then but GIs' crimes are unabated in south Korea.

It is as clear as noonday that as long as GIs are lording it over south Korea as occupation troops and the SOFA remains unrevised, GIs will continue to perpetrate crimes.

Security has become a hot topic in the wake of the ferry Sewol disaster.

The political camp including the "government" vies with each other, crying out for security.

But south Korea fails to investigate or punish the GI criminals even though more than 300 crimes are committed by them every year and south Korea suffers the ensuing damage.

To talk about security while not punishing GI criminals is just hypocrisy.

The south Korean "government" is not qualified to talk about the security of the people as it fails to revise the SOFA which patronizes GIs crimes while reading the U.S. face.
