Talks Held between Foreign Ministers of DPRK and Mozambique
Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- Talks between Ri Su Yong, minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, who is heading a DPRK government delegation on a visit to Mozambique and Oldemiro Baloi, minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique, at the building of the ministry on June 11.

Present at the talks from the DPRK side were members of the DPRK delegation and the DPRK ambassador to Mozambique and from the opposite side the director for Asia and Oceania of the ministry, the Mozambican ambassador to the DPRK and officials concerned.

At the talks both sides exchanged views on the issue of developing the bilateral friendly relations and other issues of mutual concerns.

Oldemiro Baloi said that former President Samora Moises Machel visited the DPRK several times and was honored with the audience of President Kim Il Sung, receiving his precious teachings.

The bilateral relationship provided by the preceding leaders is the solid friendly and cooperative relations with a long historical tradition, he noted.

Referring to Kim Il Sung Street in Maputo City, he highly praised the greatness of Kim Il Sung.

The Mozambican government and people will make positive efforts to comprehensively boost the economic cooperation with the DPRK, he noted.

He expressed full support for the DPRK government and people in their struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.

After the talks a protocol on political and diplomatic negotiations was signed between the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique.
