Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of Myanmar and Nigeria dedicated special write-ups to the 50th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

The Myanmar paper The New Age on May 31 carried an article titled "Eternal General Secretary of the WPK" accompanied with a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

The paper said:

His outstanding exploits in leading the WPK serve as an eternal driving force dynamically pushing forward the Korean revolution.

It is the greatest exploit performed by him that the Party and the masses have become a harmonious whole.

It was the fruition of his wise leadership that the DPRK emerged one of a few satellite manufacturers and launchers and nuclear weapons states in the world.

He conducted energetic activities for improving the people's living standard, regarding believing in the people as in Heaven as his motto.

He will live forever along with the invincible WPK leading the Korean people in their general advance for building a thriving socialist nation.

The Nigerian newspaper Nigerian Observer on June 2 edited an article titled "Kim Jong Il, his undying exploits in party-building" praising him for strengthening the WPK into the party of President Kim Il Sung, a mother party taking care of the destiny of the people in a responsible manner and guiding force of the revolutionary cause of Songun.
