This patent injection, specially efficacious for liver functions, is a Koryo medicine made of extracts of such natural herbs as celandine, white poriacocos and Bupleurum falcatum.

According to Dr. So Ryong Won, section chief of the Korea General Red Cross Hospital, the medicine, a natural antioxidant, has no side effects on human body and helps proliferate cell with strong antiviral action and high ability of removing active oxygen.

Its developer O Yong Suk, a doctor of the Pongnam Polyclinic in Phyongchon District, Pyongyang, said the clinical study showed that the injection is very efficacious against fatty liver, chronic hepatitis, hepatitis B, and other liver diseases.

The injection also has a good effect on cardiovascular circulation disorders, arteriosclerosis hypertension, fatty pancreas, rheumatism and gastric ulcer.

Song Won Hyok, a Pyongyang citizen, said that the injection saved him from death by liver cirrhosis.

The cell activator injection was presented to the 17th Pyongyang Spring International Trade Fair.
