17th National Taekwon-Do Championship for Jongilbong Prize Opens

| Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- The 17th National Taekwon-Do Championship for Jongilbong Prize opened with due ceremony at the Taekwon-Do Hall Monday. The championship brought together at least 500 players selected from provincial Taekwon-do teams and other units. They will compete in Taekwon-do and go. Present at the opening ceremony were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, Taekwon-do players and coaches. Kim Kyong Ho, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, made an opening speech. At the end of the ceremony, there took place Taekwon-do demonstration. |
