Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong, who is leading the DPRK government delegation on a visit to Gambia, and the DPRK ambassador to Gambia and from the opposite side Gambian Foreign Minister Aboubacar Abudoullah Senghore and the vice general secretary for bilateral political relations and the vice general secretary for multilateral cooperation of the Foreign Ministry of Gambia.

Both sides exchanged views on boosting the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation and on matters of mutual concern.

The Gambian foreign minister said he could not repress his admiration for the efforts made by the supreme leader of the Korean people Kim Jong Un to defend sovereignty of the country and regional peace and security with great pluck and guts.

Expressing sincere thanks for the DPRK government's support for the struggle of the Gambian government and people, he said it is the invariable stand of the Gambian government to further develop the cooperative relations between the two countries in all fields.

Gambia will continue to boost the relations of support and cooperation with the friendly DPRK in the international arena, he added.
