Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site Draws Endless Stream of Visitors
Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- An increasing number of people visited the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the victory in the battle in Pochonbo commanded by President Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese armed struggle.

Exhibited in the battle site situated in Ryanggang Province are historical relics showing the superb operation and command of Kim Il Sung who put forward a policy on advancing to the motherland and led the battle to victory.

The battle site involves a revolutionary battle site at the Kusi Barrage and Konjang Hill, the command post designated by him and the then police substation of the Japanese imperialists, the sub-county administrative office, the fire station, etc. which were occupied by the Korean People's Revolutionary Army which mounted a surprise attack.

Preserved there are the mementoes of field guidance by the President to the battle site in May, Juche 47 (1958) and in August, Juche 52 (1963) and buildings visited by leader Kim Jong Il when he came there in June, Juche 45 (1956), leading the study-tour group of revolutionary battle sites and mementoes of his visit.

There are also the monument to the revolutionary activities of Kim Il Sung and the Pochonbo Revolutionary Museum.

More than 20.59 million visitors including service personnel, people from all walks of life, school youth and children, many overseas Koreans and foreigners visited the battle site for more than six decades.

Entering this year, many people visited the battle site and their number is increasing day by day.
