S. Korean Society in Danger: S. Korean Paper
Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore on May 28 carried an editorial titled "Society is in danger as it is torn with ceaseless disasters."

The editorial said a fire in a hospital in Jangsong, South Jolla Province, left 20 aged persons and one nurse dead.

The editorial went on:

This is a horrible accident in the wake of a series of accidents like ferry Sewol sinking, electric car clash in Seoul Metro and a fire in Koyang in Kyonggi Province, clearly indicating at what peril south Korean society is put.

The recent fire, in particular, is just the same as the fire in Phohang in North Kyongsang Province in 2010. In the final analysis, it proves that the authorities have not drawn any lesson from the accidents which claimed a lot of casualties.

The hospitals, where disabled aged persons are being treated, have neither proper safety facilities nor automatic fire-detection equipment.

The Park Geun Hye regime should take fundamental measures to prevent the recurrence of the similar accident in which ailing old persons cannot escape death.
