KCTU Confirms June Action Program
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) held a meeting of its Central Executive Committee at its conference room on May 28 at which it confirmed its June action program, according to the south Korean paper Labor and World and internet paper Thongil News.

It said that the KCTU general action late in June is chiefly aimed to force the irresponsible and incompetent Park Geun Hye regime step down, abolish the man-killing policy of the "government" including denationalization, easing of regulation and expansion of part-time jobs and organize workers' action to defend life, security and dignity.

It is also aimed to probe the truth about the ferry Sewol sinking accident, punish those responsible for it and prevent the recurrence of similar accidents, the organization noted.

It declared the general action period from June 23 to 28.

Meanwhile, the KCTU held a press conference at Chonggye Plaza, Seoul on May 29 at which it declared that it would wage an action to denounce the arrest of the secretary general of the organization and probe the truth about the ferry Sewol disaster.
