Seminar on Exploits of Peerless Great Men Held in Russia
Moscow, May 31 (KCNA) -- A seminar on the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, peerless great men of Mt. Paektu, to develop the DPRK-Soviet Union and DPRK-Russia friendship took place at the Russian newspaper Pravda in Moscow on May 27 to mark the 65th anniversary of Kim Il Sung's first historic official visit to the Soviet Union and the 30th anniversary of his official visit to it in 1984.

Present at the seminar were Taysaev, vice-chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of the State Duma of Russia and secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation; Komotski, deputy to the State Duma, permanent member of the C.C., Communist Party of the Russian Federation and editor-in-chief of Pravda; Makarov, deputy to the State Duma and member of the C.C., Communist Party of the Russian Federation; and other politicians, scholars, journalists and editors.

Invited to the seminar were staff members of the DPRK embassy in Moscow and members of the delegation of officials of the Workers' Party of Korea on a visit to Russia.

Speeches were made by Komotski, Makarov, and Chief of Section for Korea Vorontsov and senior researcher Vanin of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The speakers said that it was of great significance that Kim Il Sung visited the Soviet Union more than 20 times and Kim Jong Il visited the Russian Federation three times, noting that they made great contributions to developing the DPRK-Soviet Union and the DPRK-Russia friendship all their lives.

Now the Russia-DPRK relations are growing stronger under the deep care of supreme leader Kim Jong Un, the speakers said, adding that Korean-style socialism wisely led by him is the beacon of hope for progressive mankind.
