Truth about More Conspiratorial Cases Disclosed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- It has been disclosed in succession in south Korea that conspiratorial cases were fabricated during the past fascist dictatorial regime.

The Supreme Court on May 29 made a decision of declaring not guilty fishermen who were labeled "spies" for no reason during the Park Chung-Hee dictatorial rule.

Those fishermen were intercepted while fishing in the West Sea of Korea in 1963 after illegally intruding into the waters of the DPRK side but they were sent back to south Korea ten days later.

The military dictators took the fishermen to prison for the mere reason that they went to the north. They faked up a spy case through torture of them and sentenced them to prison terms and imposed other penalties upon them.

Meanwhile, the Seoul High Court held a retrial of Kim Kun Thae, former lawmaker, who was arrested and sentenced to a jail term on charge of involvement in the case of the Youth Association for Democratic Movement in the mid-1980s and declared him not guilty as the charge against him was fabricated by torture.

As regards this decision, the spokesman for the Justice Party said that people should never forget the fact that pro-democracy figures were forced to make false confession by cruel torture behind bars in the past.
