Rodong Sinmun Slams Japan for Rushing Headlong into Militarization and Lurch to Right
Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) -- Japanese should feel shame for the history of crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists in the past. It has become more shameful for Japanese politicians.

Rodong Sinmun Thursday says this in a commentary.

It is the irresistible requirement of the international community and moral duty of the Japanese government to deeply repent of its past crimes and make an apology and reparation for them with the correct outlook on history, it notes, and goes on:

However, Japan is rushing headlong into militarization and lurch to the Right, putting aside this historical task and giving rein to militarism.

Mayor of Osaka Hashimoto who co-heads the Japan Restoration Party told journalists that he was glad that the people have known about the comfort women system and it was natural to raise different opinion when one hears something different from the fact as regards the historical issue.

These are reckless remarks insulting mankind once again and denying the past crimes again as it is a repetition of his remarks a year ago that the comfort women system for the Imperial Japanese Army was needed.

The international community is censuring and cursing Hashimoto, labeling his remarks denying the past crimes the ones of a shameless depraved guy and an ultra-right gangster steeped in militarism to the marrow of his bones.

It is the reality of Japan that this guy bereft of the qualification of not only politician but human being takes an important post in the government.

As the present chief executive of Japan is letting loose a string of reckless remarks denying the past history and calling for revising the constitution and turning Japan into a military power, Japan is rushing headlong into militarization and lurch to the Right.

One's evil doings will rebound on oneself. If one negates history, one is bound to be punished by Heaven.

Japan had better understand this truth at an early date.
