Koreans in U.S. Urges Park Geun Hye Step down
Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- A memorial service took place in front of the south Korean consulate general in Los Angeles, the United States on May 24 as part of actions of Koreans in the U.S. demanding Park Geun Hye bear the responsibility for the ferry Sewol disaster in south Korea and step down.

Present there were many Koreans in the U.S. including couples carrying their children in perambulators.

The participants paid a silent tribute to the deceased before watching a video dealing with the disaster.

The person who presided over the service said that the families of the victims to the disaster wanted a limitless investigation into Park Geun Hye and demanded the authorities find out all dead bodies.

However, Park in a "talk to the people" talked about the disbandment of the Maritime Police Agency as a measure, he charged.

If Park truly shed her tears, she should have mentioned the victims and carried the demand of their families in her "talk", he said, underscoring the need to prove who makes sincere words and who drops crocodile tears.

Korean women spoke next:

Park has neither elementary etiquette nor obligation. As such a woman holds the post of "president", the people are paying a dear price. As the people wrongly elected the daughter of the "yusin" dictator as "president", they should not repeat the past wrongdoing. Park Geun Hye is to blame for the ferry Sewol disaster. We will never forget this disaster.

They declared that they would continue demonstrations until the demands of the families of the victims are met and those responsible for the disaster punished.
