DPRK Students Art Group Gives Performance at Bergen International Festival
Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- The Bergen International Festival is taking place in Norway from May 21. It brought together art organizations of more than 40 countries.

A small art group of Korean students gave a performance at the festival before full houses.

It put on the stage colorful numbers including instrumental music and songs "Ode to the Motherland" and "We Are the Happiest in the World", chorus "We Are Happy under the Care of the Marshal" and kayagum solo "Ongheya" and foreign songs.

The performers vividly showed the happy life of the Korean schoolchildren and the bright future of Juche-oriented art with rich volume, refined rendition and national musical instruments to be acclaimed by the audience.

TV, radios and newspapers of Norway gave wide publicity to the performance every day and personages of world art circles highly praised members of the art group.

The director for administration of the festival said that the audience will always remember the art performance given by Korean students with the great pride that their social system is the best, praising their country. It is very regretful to let them give only one performance according to the program of the festival, the director said, hoping that the art group would come here again next time.

The general director of the festival said that even if such performance is given for more than ten hours, people would enjoy it, unaware of the passage of time. The performance given by the art group gave vigor to Norwegian people as the brightest light of the festival, he noted.

He hoped for the success in the work to boost the cultural exchange between Norway and the DPRK in the future.
